What is DOWNSHIFTING ?

Being rich is very overrated. An expensive car is no better than a cheap car as long as it is transported. A mud cabin can be much more welcoming than a luxury villa. At the moment, this sounds more like another sermon praising the benefits of downward change. Have you heard of the descending change? I bet you have.
In recent years, downward change has become a strong trend. But this is nothing new under the sun. According to legend, two and a half millennia ago, the Prince of Gautama lived in a palace, he was happily married and was about to become king. However, when he turned thirty, he left his family and his wealth behind and made a trip as a homeless person. The ancient prince renounced all that was trivial, he dedicated his time to self-awareness and reached spiritual perfection. We know it by the name of Buddha Shakyamuni.
